Windsor Waste Management has joined up with specialist manufacturer and supplier to the asbestos removal industry, SMH, to open a new asbestos transfer station.

Using the competencies of Windsor Waste Management and located at SMH’s depot in Childerditch, near Brentwood in Essex, the transfer station takes both cement-bonded and fibrous asbestos.  In this innovative partnership, asbestos removal companies are able to drop off their bags, sheets, boilers, wraps and doors at the end of the day and pick up their consumables for the next day.

Windsor Waste Management operates a nationwide service for asbestos disposal.  The company has been looking to expand its transfer stations following a successful partnership with Williams Environmental in East London last year.

Tony Windsor, Managing Director, Windsor Waste Management says, “We want to provide our customers with convenient, clean and competitively priced asbestos transfer stations across the country.  Our existing venture with Williams Environmental has proved successful so the natural step was to build further partnerships. SMH’s nationwide coverage and extensive product range makes them an ideal partner and allows us to provide our customers with a valuable service that our competitors will find difficult to match.”

Terry Irving, Regional and Key Account Manager, SMH, says, “We are delighted to enter into this partnership with Windsor Waste Management and to be able to offer yet another quality service to our asbestos removal customers.  We look forward to expanding the partnership during 2012.”

The new facility opened in February.  To find out more, download our PDF.
