WWM has teamed up with ACAD to carry out a survey looking at the challenges faced by the asbestos removal industry today, and those anticipated for years to come.

The survey which is being carried out as joint initiative between ACAD and Windsor Waste Management (WWM) will cover a range of areas, including legislation and compliance, access to information, funding for competence and training, and asbestos waste management.

There has been a lot of activity in the industry over the last year, from the introduction of new publications and training standards to the situation of diminishing void space for asbestos waste, this survey will explore the perceived impacts of this activity to the asbestos removal industry and anticipated future challenges.

“We’re pleased to be partnering with ACAD to carry out this important piece of research,” says Jeff Letch, Director, WWM.  “We hope our customers and ACAD members will complete the survey.  We’re keen to capture a broad picture of the marketplace, and believe the information that comes out of the survey could prove invaluable to the industry.”

Graham Warren, ACAD Manager said: “This is a really promising piece of research planned by ACAD and WWM and I urge as many people as possible to complete this to give us the best possible view of issues facing the sector. By working together we’ll gain an insight into biggest challenges faced by the asbestos removal industry.  We’ll share our learning and use the results to help inform future services and developments.”

The survey is being launched in May and will be circulated via email and advertised on the WWM and ACAD websites, publications and social media.   A donation will be made to WWM and ACAD’s nominated charities for each completed survey received.
