Windsor Waste Management’s Essex asbestos transfer station has reached its highest tonnages to date.

The Childerditch-based facility opened in February 2012 at SMH’s depot.  In this innovative partnership, asbestos removal companies are able to drop off their bags, sheets, boilers, wraps and doors at the end of the day and pick up their consumables for the next day.

The latest tonnage figures for the transfer station show that November 2014 was the busiest month to date and 2014 was the busiest year.

Windsor Waste Management Commercial Director, Jeff Letch, says: “In the three years since we opened, our Essex asbestos transfer station has gone from strength to strength.  These latest results just go to show the value our customers place on a convenient, clean and competitively priced facility at which to dispose of their asbestos waste.”
