Windsor Waste Management (WWM) has expanded the partnership with specialist manufacturer and supplier to the asbestos removal industry, SMH Products, to open two new asbestos transfer stations.

The facilities, being built at SMH Products’ depots in Nottingham and Cardiff, have received standard rules permits for 3,500 tonnes of fibrous and cement-bonded asbestos with 24 hour, seven day a week opening.  The new facilities will open in spring 2014.

WWM and SMH Products opened their first joint asbestos transfer station in March last year.  The innovative partnership means that asbestos removal companies are able to drop off their asbestos bags, sheets, boilers, wraps and doors at the end of the day and pick up their consumables for the next day.

Tony Windsor, Managing Director, Windsor Waste Management says: “We are very pleased to expand our successful partnership with SMH Products in our drive to provide customers with convenient, clean and competitively priced asbestos transfer stations across the country.”

Terry Irving, UK Sales Director, SMH Products, says: “We are delighted to be building these next two facilities and to continue to broaden the range of services we can provide to our core customers.”
