Windsor Waste Management (WWM) has passed its Link Up audit to retain the Achilles qualification as a supplier to the transport industry.

The pre-qualification scheme helps buyers in the UK rail industry ensure compliance and manage risk in choosing suppliers.  WWM provides total waste management services to a number of rail companies and contractors providing solutions for all types of waste including construction and demolition waste, asbestos, hazardous waste and lead paint.

Link up reg stamp 2The Special Risk Based Audit is required for any rail industry suppliers providing products and services that carry a level of risk such as asbestos disposal.  The thorough audit took place at WWM’s new offices last month to ensure that the correct systems and procedures were in place.  It involved a thorough review of WWM’s ISO14001, 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems as well as all processes and procedures with a particular focus on health & safety, quality and the environment.

Jeff Letch, General Manager says: “We pride ourselves on our strong health & safety, quality and environmental focus and are pleased to have passed this latest audit.  As a supplier to the rail industry, Link-Up is important to us”.
