Problem

Our client encountered a severe fly-tip problem, on an un-manned site. Due to the various waste streams it was important to photograph, document and produce a strategy for segregating and controlling the waste removal. This pre-clearance audit was extremely valuable in isolating hazardous waste streams from general waste, in order to meet legislative requirements and offering the client the most cost effective means of disposal.

Operation

We isolated waste streams in line with the agreed strategy and utilized pre-identified disposal routes and methods to ensure legal compliance. On-site segregation of inert waste and active waste, enabled inert materials to be re-introduced to the recycling chain. Utilizing our project management experience, a safe method of working was adhered to by all personnel.

Conclusion

The site was left free of contamination, with an audit report identifying disposal methods for the individual waste streams. Our project management experience was evident throughout, giving our client complete peace of mind and confidence their legal obligations were met.
